Zero organizer fees. Nothing hidden.

We don't charge organizers. Full stop. Free events are free for everyone. On paid events, players pay a flat $5 at checkout, and you keep every entry fee you set.

Three numbers. That's the whole thing.

No plans, no tiers, no add-ons. Three numbers cover every event you will ever run.

$0
For organizers, always
No setup fees, no subscription, no cut of your entry fees.
$0
For players on free events
Set the entry fee to zero and your players pay nothing either. No platform fee, no checkout, no card.
$5
On paid events, paid by each player
TopSeed charges a flat platform fee for paid events. You keep the full entry fee you set.

Two things sit outside those three numbers: standard card processing on paid entries, typically Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, deducted from your payout exactly as charged; and, only where sales tax applies, a $0.50 tax processing fee itemized to the player at checkout. Details are in the Organizer Agreement.

A worked example

A 32-player singles draw with a $40 entry fee. Every number below is what the player and the organizer actually see.

What each player pays at checkout

Entry fee, set by you$40.00
TopSeed platform fee$5.00
Sales tax (only where legally required, plus a $0.50 tax processing fee)—
Total at checkout$45.00

Refunded in full, platform fee included, if the player withdraws before the registration deadline or you cancel the event.

What you receive as the organizer

32 entries × $40.00$1,280.00
TopSeed organizer fees$0.00
Card processing (est. 2.9% + 30¢ per entry)− $51.36
Your payout (estimate)$1,228.64

Initiated within 14 days after your event ends, to your Stripe connected account. The processing estimate uses Stripe's standard US card rate of 2.9% + 30¢ on each $45.00 checkout, about $1.61 per player; the actual amount depends on the card. TopSeed's revenue from this event is 32 × $5 = $160.00, paid by players.

TopSeed is free for organizers. There are no setup fees, subscriptions or per-event charges, and free events cost nothing for anyone. On paid events, the TopSeed charge is a flat $5 platform fee per player, per paid draw entry, paid by the player at checkout. Where sales tax applies, a $0.50 tax processing fee is itemized alongside the tax.

The player pays the $5 TopSeed platform fee at checkout. It is itemized before the player enters payment details, and it is never deducted from the organizer's entry fees.

An organizer on TopSeed receives the full entry fees they set, less the standard card processing fees charged by the card networks. TopSeed takes no percentage of entry fees and charges organizers no platform fee.

TopSeed initiates an organizer's payout within 14 days after the event ends, to the organizer's Stripe connected account. Other payout methods are described in the Organizer Agreement. An organizer does not need a payout account or banking details to create or publish an event.

A player who withdraws before the registration deadline, or whose event is cancelled by the organizer, is refunded in full by TopSeed, including the $5 platform fee. After the registration deadline there is no refund. Card processing on refunded payments is not returned by the card networks and comes out of the organizer's proceeds.

TopSeed collects sales tax on tournament entries only in jurisdictions where it is legally registered to collect it. Where tax applies, the checkout also itemizes a $0.50 tax processing fee that covers tax calculation and compliance. Where tax is not required, neither line is added to the player's checkout total.

A paid entry on TopSeed is one player registering for one draw with an entry fee above $0. Registering for two paid draws is two entries and two $5 platform fees. Organizers set the entry fee anywhere from $0 to $200 per draw, and a $0 draw is a free draw with no platform fee.

No pricing tiers or volume minimums. TopSeed has no caps on events or players and nothing to upgrade; an event can hold up to 10 draws. All entry fees, platform fees and payouts are in US dollars.

Card processing on TopSeed is typically Stripe's standard US card rate of 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, which comes to about $1.61 on a $45 checkout. The card networks set the rate and it varies by card, so TopSeed deducts the actual amount from the organizer's payout exactly as charged. It is the only cost on TopSeed that varies.

When a player registers for a paid draw, TopSeed places a hold on their card for the entry fee, the $5 platform fee and, where applicable, sales tax and the tax processing fee, rather than charging it right away. The charge completes near the registration deadline. If the player withdraws before then, the hold is released; if the charge has already completed, TopSeed refunds it in full to the same card, which banks typically show within 5 to 10 business days.
