Entering your first tournament on TopSeed is straightforward. This step-by-step tutorial walks you through creating your account, completing onboarding, registering for your first draw, and match day.

1. Create your TopSeed account

To get started, create your free TopSeed account:

1. Go to topseed.ai/auth/sign-up or click Sign In in the top navigation bar on topseed.ai.
2. Sign up with email and password, or click Continue with Google for one-click authentication.
3. If signing up with email, check your inbox for the verification email and click the confirmation link.

2. Complete your player onboarding

The first time you sign in, TopSeed guides you through a brief profile setup:

1. Birth year: Enter your birth year. From the calendar year you turn 14 your account has full access; it never decides which draws you can enter.
2. Your name: Enter your first and last name for brackets and match cards.
3. Sports: Select the sports you play (Tennis, Pickleball, or both).
4. Persona: Choose your primary role on TopSeed (select Player).

Once complete, you land on your home dashboard at topseed.ai/protected.

3. Register for a tournament draw

When an organizer shares their event link with you:

1. Open the tournament page link (for example, topseed.ai/events/summer-open).
2. Click Register on the event header.
3. Under Choose one or more draws:, select your division and click Next.
4. Confirm your information and enter your rating (such as UTR for tennis or DUPR for pickleball). Click Next.
5. If entering doubles, choose whether to invite a partner (I have a partner) or join the pool (I need a partner).
6. Review your selection. Click Register for free draws, or enter card details and click Register and Pay for paid draws.

4. Match day and reporting scores

After the registration deadline passes, the organizer builds the tournament bracket and sets match times:

1. Check your tournament anytime by signing in and clicking your event card under Upcoming on your dashboard.
2. Select the Draws or Bracket tab to see your opponent, court assignment, and scheduled start time.
3. Arrive at the venue on time for check-in and warm-up.
4. After your match finishes, how you report the result depends on how the organizer configured the draw. In a Player Submit + Confirm draw, find your match card on the tournament page and click Enter score; once your opponent confirms, the bracket advances the winner automatically. In a Host Entry Only draw, you report physical scorecards or verbal results to the tournament desk and the organizer enters the score for you. See Score entry: host entry or player submit.
