When registering for doubles on TopSeed, you can invite a teammate by email or join the tournament's Looking for Partner pool. Both options let you secure your entry while ensuring your team is formed before play begins.

How doubles registration works

Doubles registration includes a partner step in the registration wizard:

1. Select Draws. On the event page, click Register. Select your preferred doubles division under Choose one or more draws: and click Next.
2. Your Info. Confirm your name and enter your doubles rating (such as UTR for tennis or DUPR for pickleball). Click Next.
3. Your Partner. Choose how you want to handle your teammate:
   • I have a partner: Choose this option (Send your invite) if you know your teammate. Enter your partner's email address and an optional message.
   • I need a partner: Choose this option (Enter the partner pool) if you need a partner. This adds your name to the event's Looking for Partner tab so players can connect with you.
   • Click Next to proceed.
4. Register. Review your draw selection and fees. Click Register for free draws, or enter your card details and click Register and Pay for paid events.

What happens after you invite a partner

When you select I have a partner, TopSeed emails your teammate a secure invitation link:

• Your registration displays the status Awaiting Partner.
• Your partner opens the link, signs in, and completes their registration.
• Once your partner accepts, TopSeed links both registrations into a confirmed doubles team. For free draws or when payment was already captured, your status updates to Registered; for paid events awaiting final payment capture, both registrations move to Payment Pending until capture settles.

How the partner pool works

If you select I need a partner, you enter the event's Looking for Partner list. Other players can browse this list on the event page, view ratings, and click Contact to send you a message about teaming up. TopSeed emails you that message along with their name, email address, and rating, so you can coordinate directly from there.
