Every tournament registration on TopSeed carries a status that defines your standing in a draw. TopSeed calculates this status based on your entry submission, payment verification, partner responses, and capacity limits.

Summary of registration statuses

The table below explains every status you may see on your registrations dashboard or tournament page:

Active versus terminal statuses

TopSeed divides registration statuses into two categories:

  • Active statuses: Registrations in an active state (REGISTERED, AWAITING_PARTNER, LOOKING_FOR_PARTNER, PAYMENT_PENDING, and PENDING) represent ongoing participation. A WAITLISTED status exists in the vocabulary but cannot occur yet: waitlists are not available. You can manage or withdraw from any active registration before tournament deadlines.
  • Terminal statuses: Registrations in a terminal state (WITHDRAWN, RETIRED, REJECTED, or CANCELLED) are permanently closed. They cannot be modified or re-activated. To rejoin the tournament, you must submit a new registration.

Looking for Team sits outside both groups. Your entry is live, and TopSeed will not let you register for the same draw again while it stands, but you cannot withdraw it yourself the way you can from an active registration. Wait for the host to place you on a team, and contact the host if you have questions.
